Village Grant Applications – Public Information Session, September 7

New York Forward // Joint Downtown Revitalization Initiative with Village of Ellenville

• Together Ellenville and New Paltz will submit a joint grant application to the state’s $10M Downtown Revitalization Initiative Program.
  • Each community shares similar prospective projects for the DRI. We aim to create a walkable, bike-able connection between New Paltz and Ellenville, over the Shawangunk Ridge, via the renovation of the Smiley Carriage Road.

• The Village will independently apply to the state’s $4.5M New York Forward program.

• On Wednesday, September 7 at 7pm, both Villages will present project proposals for the grant applications, hear comments, and take questions from the public.  The two public meetings will be joined digitally via Zoom. A link to join the meeting(s) will be posted on Monday.
  • The Village of New Paltz will hold its meeting at Village Hall, 25 Plattekill Avenue, New Paltz, in the first floor fire department meeting rooms. The grant applications are works-in-progress. Please follow this link for an outline of prospective projects:
