ANNOUNCEMENT: STAY IN and PLEASE DO NOT cross flood barriers

STAY IN and PLEASE DO NOT cross flood barriers

———–

With all the snow that has recently fallen, combined with the amount of snow and rain we are expecting, we are facing significant anticipated flooding challenges.  The Wallkill River is projected to crest at 10.9 feet tomorrow.

In consultation with Ulster County and New Paltz Emergency Services, the Village strongly urges people not to travel during this predicted period of high winds, with heavy snow and rain. Expect local flooding, trees, and tree branches down on local roads.

PLEASE DO NOT cross flood barriers.

Thank you
